The teaching of languages represents a fundamental tool for the formation of the individual, ensuring active participation in European citizenship. In this paper we will attempt to illustrate the results of a study and
research path, centred on the European Union and carried out in the context of the transversal teaching of Civic Education aimed at Italian-speaking students in a fifth-year secondary school class, to be transferred to the
multimedia teaching of Italian L2 for foreign students in mobility at the Basilicata University. The path in question ended with the realisation, by the students, of the multimedia product entitled “A window on Europe:
students today and citizens tomorrow”.
