L’inizio di Jean-Luc Nancy

Abstract

Jean-Luc Nancy si era occupato della questione dell’inizio a molteplici livelli, in molteplici maniere ed in molteplici sensi, riuscendo a parlare dell’inizio affermativamente, cioè con audacia. Anche quando si trovava in ospedale, nel luglio 2021, concluse il suo ultimo scritto, intitolato La fine della filosofia e il compito del pensiero, per dare avvio al progetto pensato con Shaj Mohan e Divya Dwivedi “L’altro inizio della filosofia”. In Cruor, il suo ultimo libro, sono raccolte tutte le sue riflessioni critiche sulla questione del destino, delle componenti antisemite della storia heideggeriana dell’essere, dei fini della filosofia, con i quali dobbiamo fare i conti, così come sulla questione delle origini, dell’archefilia e dell’essenza an-archica della filosofia e della democrazia – e ciò significa, per noi, poter pensare quel senso altro dell’inizio rispetto a quello che si intende con “archè”; cosa che potrebbe permetterci di preparare un altro inizio della filosofia rispetto a quello heideggeriano, e di rispondere così alla scommessa di Nancy “perché non farla finita?”. Nancy non ci ha lasciato, anzi, stiamo iniziando solo ora con Jean-Luc Nancy.

Jean-Luc Nancy dealt with the question of the beginning on multiple levels, in multiple ways and in multiple senses, managing to speak of the beginning affirmatively, boldly. Even when he was in hospital in July 2021, he completed his last writing entitled The End of Philosophy and the Task of Thought, in order to initiate the project he conceived with Shaj Mohan and Divya Dwivedi “The Other Beginning of Philosophy”. In his latest book Cruor are collected all his critical remarks on the question of destiny, on the anti-Semitic components of the Heideggerian history of being, on the aims of philosophy, with which we must deal, as well as on the question of origins, of archephilia and the an-archic essence of philosophy and democracy. For us, this means being able to think about that other sense of the beginning than what is meant by “archè”; something that might allow us to prepare another beginning of philosophy than the Heideggerian one, and thus to answer Nancy's wager: “why not get it over with?”. Nancy has not left us, rather, we are only now beginning with Jean-Luc Nancy.
