Abstract

SENSITIVITY OF LARVAE OF Lymantria dispar L. (Lep.: Lymantriidae) TO DIFFERENT CONCENTRATION OF Bacillus thruringiensis VAR. kurstaki AND Bacu/ovirus (SUBGROUP A

Sensitivity tests of larvae 13 of L. dispar to different concentrations of Bacillus thurin- giensis var. kurstaki and Baculovirus (subgroup A), used alone or in different combinations indicated that the activity of the two pathogens combined is stronger then the activity of each single pathogen.

1D50 of the two pathogens combined was clearly lower then 1D50 of the two pathogens individually considered.

These tests demonstrate that B. thuringiensis and Baculovirus where used together have a synergyc action toward 13 larvae of Lymantria dispar.

Prove di suscettibilità delle larve 13 della Lymantria dispar nei riguardi di vari livelli di Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki e di Baculovirus (sottogruppo A), presi singolarmente ed anche variamente combinati tra di loro, hanno messo in luce che l'attività dei due pato- geni combinati tra di loro è più elavata di quella degli stessi patogeni singolarmente considerati.

Nel caso dei due patogeni combinati, le dosi letali (D150) sono risultate nettamente più basse rispetto a quelle dei due patogeni singolarmente considerati.

Da queste prove è emerso che i due patogeni, tra loro combinati, hanno un'azione sinergica verso le larve 13 della L. dispar.
