Geografia e studi classici in Italia fra letteratura e storia

Abstract

The relationship between Geography and Classical studies in Italy is difficult for three reasons: the historical/cultural heritage of Classicism with its literary canons; the increasing specialization of Humanities, which accentuates the separation of the academic disciplines and is then transferred also into teaching in schools; the current direction of Geographical research in Italy.
