Tisanotterofauna in alcune aree cerealicole di Puglia e Basilicata

Abstract

THE THYSANOPTERA FAUNA IN SOME CEREAL AREAS OF APULIA AND BASILICATA (SOUTHERN ITALY)

Studies on the occurrence of Thysanoptera in cereal areas of Apulia and Basilicata (Southern Italy) were carried out. Twentyfour species were recorded on durum wheat and associated weeds. On the basis of faunistic observations, ecological reports on Thysanoptera species of the investigated agro - ecosystems are provided. Eryngyothrips ferulae (Priesner) and Sitothrips arabicus (Priesner) are reported for the first time in continental Italy.

Una indagine sulla Tisanotterofauna in alcune aree cerealicole della Puglia e Basilicata ha evidenziato la presenza di 24 differenti specie su frumento duro e piante infestanti. Alcune considerazioni di carattere ecologico vengono riportate a riguardo. Eryngyothrips ferulae (Priesner) e Sitothrips arabicus (Priesner) sono riportate per la prima volta nell’Italia continentale.
