Abstract

NEW RECORDS OF BOMBYCES AND SPHINGES. CONTRIBUTIONS TO KNOWLEDGE OF THE LEPIDOPTERA IN SOUTHERN ITALY. XVIII

Data regarding 30 species of Bombyces and Sphinges are listed in this work (2 Hepialidae, 1 Cossidae, 1 Zygaenidae, 8 Psychidae, 2 Sesiidae, 2 Lasiocampidae, 2 Thiatyridae, 5 Sphingidae, 3 Notodontidae e 4 Arctiidae).

Three species (Oiketicoides tedaldii (Heylaerts, 1881), Taleporia cfr. tubulosa (Retzius, 1783), Oreopsyche cfr. wockei (Standfuss, 1882)) are reported for the first time in Southern Italy; Oiketicoides tedaldii (Heylaerts, 1881) is reported as new for continental Italy too.

With the new records the number of Bombyces and Sphinges known in Southern Italy is 230.

In questo lavoro vengono riportati dati riguardanti 30 specie di Lepidotteri (2 Hepialidae, 1 Cossidae, 1 Zygaenidae, 8 Psychidae, 2 Sesiidae, 2 Lasiocampidae, 2 Thiatyridae, 5 Sphingidae, 3 Notodontidae e 4 Arctiidae), di cui tre (Oiketicoides tedaldii (Heylaerts, 1881), Taleporia cfr. tubulosa (Retzius, 1783), Oreopsyche cfr. wockei (Standfuss, 1882)) sono qui segnalate per la prima volta in Italia meridionale; di particolare interesse è il primo rin- venimento di Oiketicoides tedaldii (Heylaerts, 1881) in Italia continentale.
