One of the primary goals of contemporary educational institutions is to promote quality education and civic engagement, especially in contexts marked by marginalization and educational poverty. This is crucial for ensuring inclusion and equality, and for combating all forms of discrimination based on gender, language, ethnicity, religion, and economic status. As an important multicultural microcosm, schools become a valuable opportunity for peer-to-peer discussion and exchange. This research project identifies the interconnections between local cultures and traditions through narration and the enhancement of specific cultural traits, aiming to convey them towards a conscious global citizenship. In synergy with the most recent developments in AI Literacy, the research proposes a digital storytelling model capable of supporting the intergenerational transmission of minority languages. This model is structured along three key lines: Digital Storytelling as a multi-factorial strategic approach; the potential to contribute to the linguistic and cultural valorization of the Arbëreshë community; the critical and conscious integration of AI, playing a crucial role in connecting the smallest and most peripheral local realities with the vast global network.
