Francesca D’errico is associate professor of Social Psychology at the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’; Bibliometric Indexes: (From Scopus: H-Index: 16, Citations: 1130; From Google Scholar: H-Index: 20; Citations: 1522); 

She teaches Psychology of Communication and New Media Psychology at the Faculty of Communication Science and Psychology of University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’, respectively. She is a member of the PhD Board in Human Relations at the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’ and she is a member of RomaTre CosmicLab (Cognition Social Multimodal Interaction & Communication Lab, https://sites.google.com/site/cosmiclabromatre/home).

Her main research interests include multimodal persuasive strategies in political communication, especially the role played by personal (i.e. charisma) and interactional processes (i.e. parody and discredit) within traditional and new media (social media, among others).

She took part in several national and international research projects on multimodal communication, persuasive signals, and theoretical cognitive modelling. She authored and co-authored more than 100 international publications and she is the co-editor of two Springer books on multimodal approaches to the study of political communication and two special issues on cognitive processing entitled “Social Signals.
