Siteroptes avenae (Müller) (Acari Siteroptidae) e Fusarium spp. (Hyphomycetes Tuberculariaceae)

Abstract

SITEROPTES AVENAE (MüLLER) (ACARI SITEROPTIDAE) AND FUSARIUM SPP. (HYPHOMYCETES TUBERCULARIACEAE)

Siteroptes avenae (Müller) has been collected from wheat (Triticum durum Desf. and T. aestivum L.) in Mezzolara (BO) and Panocchia (PR) (Northern Italy). The species is reported for the first time in Italy. Laboratory trials have shown that it can feed and reproduce on pure culture of Fusarium culmorum Smith and F. poae (Peck); moreover it has been ascertained that the mite is able to disperse passively F. poae, F. avenaceum (Fr.) Sacc. and Harzia acremonioides (Harz.) not only on the body surface but also inside the female sporotechae.

L’acaro Siteroptidae Siteroptes avenae (Müller), raccolto da campioni di frumento duro (Triticum durum Desf.) e tenero (T. aestivum L.) prelevati a Mezzolara (BO) e Panocchia (PR), viene per la prima volta segnalato in Italia. Prove di allevamento di questa specie in laboratorio hanno consentito di: confermare la possibilità di alimentarsi e riprodursi su colture pure di Fusarium culmorum Smith e F. poae (Peck); accertare la dispersione passiva di F. poae, F. avenaceum e Harzia acremonioides (Harz.) mediante le sporoteche di cui le femmine dell’acaro sono provviste.
