Haliplidae, Dytiscidae AND Gyrinidae FROM LUCANIA

Faunistic and ecologica! remarks are given about the Hydroadephaga of Lucania, as results of the research that the author himself carried out in the years 1970-1975 in that Region: 96 different water bodies were examined and 93 species of Hydroadephaga were found .

In the first part the 96 explored water bodies are assigned to 6 categories: l) rivers and streams below 500 mts of altitude; 2) rivers and streams over 500 mts of altitude; 3) irrigation canals; 4) latera! and residua! puddles of rivers and streams; 5) retro-dune ponds and bogs; 6) ponds and little lakes of hills and mountains. The species found in each of the above mentioned categories are noticed marking with an asterik the species which appear typical of that category of water body.

L'Autore tratta, dal punto di vista faunistico ed ecologico, le 93 specie di Hydroadephaga reperite in 96 diverse stazioni della Lucania nel corso delle ricerche da lui condotte negli anni dal 1970 al 1975.

Il  lavoro si articola in cinque parti.

Nella prima parte i 96 biotopi esaminati (alcuni dei quali visitati m diversi periodi dell'anno) sono suddivisi in 6 categorie (fiumi e torrenti sino a 500 metri di altitudine, torrenti oltre i 500 metri di altitudine, canali d'irrigazione, pozze laterali e residue di fiumi e torrenti, stagni retrodunali e paludi d'acqua dolce, stagni e laghetti di collina e montagna) e per ciascuna categoria sono elencate le stazioni corrispondenti e le specie in esse rinvenute, contrassegnando con un asterisco quelle caratteristiche di ciascun tipo di biotopo.
